Akitatsu HAYASHI, M.D, Ph.D. Dr. Akitatsu Hayashi is Program Director of Lymphedema Center, Kameda General Hospital, Japan. He is specialized in reconstructive microsurgery & surgical treatment for lymphedema. He is well-known in pioneer in the imaging for supermicrosurgery. He has published and presented numerous papers on clinical science, anatomy and physiology. At the young age of 43, he already has over 90 peer-reviewed publications, delivered 82 invited lectures in 17 countries, including WSRM & ASRM, been invited to operate 32 times in 11 countries, mentored 95 international visitors and been appointed visiting professor in 8 facilities including the Buncke Clinic, UC Davis and USC, USA. Notably, he organized the first Imaging for Reconstructive Microsurgery Meeting, which has now become part of the WSRM & ASRM programming. Kameda Lymphedema Center which is directed under him has been the first asian designated Surgical Centers of Excellence by the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) from 2020.
